A furious driver in New York City was captured on video driving his car onto a Manhattan sidewalk and pursuing a pedestrian in a chaotic bout of road rage, - NY Post writes.

The incident occurred on Monday near West 39th Street and Seventh Avenue, as shown in footage shared by the What Is New York Instagram account.

The driver, operating a white sedan, can be seen in the video maneuvering onto the sidewalk, narrowly missing a shirtless pedestrian and toppling two large trash cans in the process. After the pedestrian moved away, the driver reversed and drove onto the sidewalk again, causing panic among bystanders.

Subsequently, the driver was recorded racing down a bike lane while the pedestrian fled on foot.

Soon after, both individuals engaged in a heated verbal altercation after the driver parked his car on the sidewalk and exited the vehicle.

Throughout the altercation, bystanders can be heard urging others to call the police immediately. The exact cause of the road rage incident remains unclear.
